Guides for Brides Awards 2016
A big, big thank you to all of you lovely people who have said such amazing things about us. We are now very proud to announce that we have been selected as finalists for the prestigious Guides for Brides Awards with the ceremony taking place in London on 10th March. The award is presented to the wedding business company that offers the best 5* service to its customers. So fingers crossed.
So now I can confirm we were initially short-listed and finally we became finalists. Our business in a tiny handful selected from the many hundreds of wedding businesses in the UK. Not just photographers but every imaginable business connected with weddings. We are very proud and cannot thank our customers enough for saying such amazing things about us. Each and every single one of you rated us as 5 star and said amazing things about us, not just for quality but for the overall service we provide. Makes me feel so humble.
Wedding shows
Wedding show season is upon us. This is the time when lots of engaged couples decide the time has come to start preparing for their big day. And what better way than to meet the suppliers local to the area all under one roof at the same time? It is also an opportunity to discuss plans, get ideas and perhaps above all pick up some bargains before other couples get there first.
Our first show of the year will be on 3rd February 2013 at Leeds United Football Club. This is a huge event and really is the one not to miss. Then we will be off to Ardsley House in Barnsley on 24th February and Novotel in Sheffield on the same day. These will be followed by the show at Hellaby Hall in Rotherham on 3rd March. We will also be at Elsecar Heritage Centre and at Rogerthorpe Manor at various times through the year. Check for dates.

Masterclasses
Our photography course is now well under way. We cannot believe the interest we have had and the course is over-subscribed. Sorry if you did not get a place but we are keeping details on file so as soon as a place come free we will let the next in line know. Last week took me back to the days when I spent hours and hours in the dark to come into the light with a single print for exhibition and a bucket full of paper! Everyone loved it and so did I - great fun. Many seeing their first black and white print appearing in trays before their eyes. I really think you need to get back to grass roots to really appreciate modern photographer and we certainly did that last week. Next week I will be showing how easy it can be to develop colour prints in trays - using our own brand of RA4 chemistry!!! Of course digital will not be a million miles away. i am not sure if you are all aware but my background is teaching and this course will be credited with an A level in photography for those wanting the qualification. It can even lead on to higher level qualifications.
Winner!
Congratulations to Kirsty and Aaron! Back luck Gemma and Paul. It was a very close thing. Gemma and Paul had been leading but Kirsty and Aaron took the lead within hours of the competition coming to an end. In the end there were only 6 Comments between the two leaders.
So there it is. Kirsty and Aaron will have their wedding photographed by us next year. They will have their photographs placed on line and a selection will be installed on a fantastic mirror finished digital viewer. They will also receive a magnificent Wedding Book printed by the world famous Graphistudio of Italy.
